The
new sport-pilot/light-sport aircraft (SP/LSA) regulations affect
two distinct and separate areas.
The
first area involves requirements and procedures to become a sport
pilot or instructor and to exercise those privileges. We refer to
this as the "SP" side of SP/LSA.
The
second area involves requirements for certification of experimental
light-sport aircraft (ELSA) and special light-sport aircraft (SLSA).
We refer to this as the "LSA" side of SP/LSA.
Here
at Sport Aviation Services, our expertise is on the LSA side of
the equation. However, we recognize that the process a typical aircraft
owner must go through to get an aircraft certificated and become
trained as a sport pilot often requires coordination, especially
considering the current scarcity of qualified individuals to help
with those tasks.
Therefore,
we partner with selected organizations and individuals who provide
services aimed at the SP side, including those listed below.
Also,
we actively encourage other sport pilot providers to link to our
site!
