Mike Huffman built this Steen Skybolt in 1976. After he and his partner had flown the airplane for several years, they became acquainted with entertainer John Denver, who was very interested in owning a Skybolt. Long story short, Denver wound up buying this aircraft and flying it for several more years. It was featured in Denver's network TV specials and in the EAA video Wings on Dreams.
